Charlotte Houde Quimby
Charlotte Houde Quimby (May 10, 1938) is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. She represented the Sullivan 1 District from 2004 to 2006 and then from 2008 to 2010. Quimby also served as a board member for Plainfield School Board. On June 1, 2010, Charlotte and her family moved outside their district, disallowing her to continue her tenure in the New Hampshire House of Representatives.[1]
Biography
Quimby's professional experience includes chair of Maternal Child Health for Yale University School of Nursing; nurse-midwife; nurse-midwifery service director; women's health coordinator; senior technical advisor for the American College of Nurse Midwives; consultant for the University of Alabama AIDS International Training Program; independent nurse/midwife/consultant; senior associate of Emory University School of Nursing; visiting senior associate for Emory University Lillian Carter Center for International Nursing; and workshop leader for Centering Pregnancy and Parenting.
Quimby earned her BSN in nursing from Saint Anselm College; MSN in nurse/midwifery from Yale University School of Nursing; and a certificate in geographic medicine from Case Western Reserve University. She and her husband, William C., have six children; Robert, John, David, Matthew, Judith, and Beth.[2]

Quimby did not seek re-election to Sullivan 1 in 2010.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Quimby finished first for the two-seat Sullivan 1 District in New Hampshire receiving 2,540 votes, ahead of Democrat Carla Skinder(2,127), and Republicans Laura Stiller Ward(1,639) and Michael Drye(1,503).[3]
Quimby raised $2,565 toward her campaign.
