McGuire (Republican Party) ran for election to the Ohio State Senate to represent District 6. She lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
The board elected McGuire as president on November 15, 2021, to replace Laura Kohler, who resigned.[1]
Biography
Prior to her election to the board, McGuire had served as director of community affairs for the city of Dayton and as president and chief executive officer of the Senior Citizen Center of Greater Dayton and Project IMPACT-Dayton. She had also served as the project director for the Montgomery County Juvenile Court's Reclaiming Futures initiative. Alongside her husband, McGuire founded Joshua Christian Ministries in 2000. As of November 2017, McGuire was active as a business consultant.[2]
