Charlton Township Fire Levy Addition (August 2012)
A Charlton Township Fire Levy Addition measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Charlton, which is in Otsego County.

“ | Shall the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on the amount of ad valorem taxes which may be levied by the Township of Charlton, Otsego County, State of Michigan, against taxable property in the Township be increased by up to six tenths ($0.60 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of five (5) years, 2012 through 2016, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for the operation of the Fire/EMS Departments of Charlton Township, and shall the Charlton Township Board be authorized to levy such millage for this purpose? if approved nad levied in its entirety, this millage would raise an estimated $66,014 for the Township in 2012.[1][2] | ” |
