Campaign website

Allen's campaign website stated the following:

Improving Academics in Declining Enrollment

Educational enrollment continues to decline statewide. Waukesha has been proving that a declining enrollment doesn’t have to mean lower academic standards. Waukesha School District is currently the #1 ranking large school district in Wisconsin (outranking districts such as Madison, Eau Claire, Oshkosh, Appleton, and others), and SDW is one of two Wisconsin districts (along with Fon Du Lac) that have seen a positive learning recovery in math and literacy rates in recent years. I aim to continue the board’s prioritization of our students’ education in the midst of enrollment trends, focusing on keeping our teachers and school staff and maintaining our excellent curriculum.

Advocate for Children, Parents, & Teachers

Parents always deserve to know what their children experience at school. The 2023 Parental Rights Bill set the gold standard for parents to receive informed consent of what the schools teach, affirming parents as the first & best advocate for their children’s education. I seek to increase the transparency between our schools and families, keeping education first, and continuing to rebuild the trust and respect of our Waukesha families.

Focus on Healthy Integration

The start of the upcoming school year will see many children entering new school environments. No child should feel displaced or unwelcome in their schools— I want to reinforce Waukesha’s positive school culture and advocate for our children. I will work to hold the administration accountable to ensure a smooth transition for children and parents.

Increase Tech Literacy

Our schools, children, and teachers need to be continually prepared for the unique challenges and opportunities that an AI and tech-driven future will present. I will seek to ensure that the technology resources our students receive are safe, contribute to a healthy learning environment, and that our school staff is equipped to embrace positive changes and confront possible threats of new technology without inhibiting our district’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
