As a 64-year old black male, who has lived in the Great State of California the majority of my life. I have benefited and enjoyed the many freedoms this country has offered. These God given freedoms have slowly eroded over the years both at the State and the National levels which became shockingly evident with the 2020 chaos we experienced around our Nation by BLM, Antifa and White "Woke" fNolk. It is for this reason, that I have decided to enter the gubernatorial race in California. When Governor Gavin Newsom is recalled, as new Governor I, Chauncey "Slim" Killens, will aggressively support and defend our Faith, our Family and our Freedoms.

WILL YOU HELP ME "MAKE CALIFORNIA GREAT AGAIN" in 2021. VOTE FOR CHAUNCEY "SLIM" KILLENS 2021 GOVERNOR

  • No mask or vaccine mandates. Open the economy
  • Mandatory ultrasound prior to abortion
  • Parental Rights for School choice
Protecting our God given rights and our constitutional rights [Faith. Family. Freedom] against foreign and domestic enemies.

  • All Live Matter - Black, White, Hispanic, Asian and yes, even Blue Lives matter.

  • The Constitutional Rights of Religious Freedom for individuals and churches to regularly assemble and worship God as they see fit.

  • The Parents Right to remove their children from failing public schools to a school of their choice - teaching Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.

  • NO DEFENDING POLICE...who "serve & protect" our communities where citizens can live in peaceful and safe neighborhoods.

  • Protecting our boarders from illegal crossing, but supporting those who bring their talents and desire to work with the citizens of California to make it a better & safer place.

  • Reducing taxes for Families and Small Businesses to increase employment opportunities without inappropriate government intrusion.
As a Christian, I first and foremost, look up to an follow Jesus Christ. He spoke the truth in Love and with power. Jesus gave His life for the world. That has always been my desire to speak the truth in Love and with power. I like Martin Luther King, Jr. because he recognized injustice and was willing to give his life to protect the people. Muhammad Ali who was, as he calls himself, the greatest of all time. He was a great boxer in the ring and a great fighter for justice outside the ring. All three of the individuals mentioned here are hero's and have strongly inspired for me the same desire to bring honest and real change into the life of others.
TRANSPARENCY. INTEGRITY. MORAL VALUES. LEADERSHIP WITH ACCOUNTABILITY.
I believe integrity is the one and most important quality any officeholder should have, because if you cannot be trusted by the people you represent - why take the office? I am not a perfect man, but I do have high moral standards, and I believe the citizens that I represent should be able to trust me.
I want to be The People's Governor and not only represent the people but bring integrity back to the office that has often been smeared by incompetence, scandal, etc. Only a good leader can produce a good and respectable state where people feel safe and welcomed. I want the California citizens to know that I stood by them and defended their Religious and Constitutional Rights - Faith. Family. Freedoms.
How old were you at the time? I remember when Martin Luther King Jr was shot. I was almost 10 years old, and was shocked and cried for him and his family. As I got older and involved in discussing politics and current affairs, I begin to listen to many of King's speeches and have still been inspired by them today. The Birmingham Jail letter and the I have a Dream speech were profound
My very first job was as a dishwasher at a large beach front hotel. I think it was about 3 weeks. Then I quit.
I don’t think I should change this behavior, so people do. I am a very direct person, which often offends people. I deal with the issues straight on instead of milling around. In our Cancel Culture that approach isn’t welcomed.
Only when it is necessary, specifically based on the impact it with have on the citizens that live in the State of California. We will maintain an annual budget, and fiscal responsibility would be mandatory for the State of California. With rare exceptions, that will always be my priority, so that the State and its citizens can thrive economically.
Yes, the Governor of California has been granted the right by the California Constitution. Article IV, Section 10€ of the California Constitution explicitly gives the Governor a power that not ever the President of the United States has, the line-item veto. As Governor, I will have the power to reduce a line item of appropriation or eliminate the item of spending entirely…but still approve the budget bill in total, with an explanation as to why. Whereas, the Legislature can only override a line-item veto with a two-thirds majority vote in each house pf the Legislature.
They are to work together, when possible, to make sure laws are fair and just as it relates to governing the people of California. The good laws should be approved by the governor and when it is a questionable law then the Governor should use the line item veto to get rid of a lot of pork spending.
As the fifth largest economy California to me has always been a beautiful state with its parks, beaches and redwood trees, even amusement parks. It still has significant income from the fruits and vegetables sold all around the world. It can again be a great state with the right governor providing common sense leadership - that what I will do - Make it Great Again, Make it Red Again and Make it Safe Again! Instead of droves of people leaving and taking their income with them they will be returning to this great golden state.
Some of the greatest challenges over the next decade will be controlling the annual forest fires; reducing the homelessness population; allowing churches, small business and schools to return to normal. Work with the Police, Not Defund the Police, but work with them to better help reduce the exploding crime rates in major cities in California.
Only during legitimate emergencies. Not when governor's use their position to score political points or to ram through legislation they could not otherwise get passed. Emergencies such as major floods, earthquake, terrorist attack, etc. Always with the goal to keep the citizens that have employed him/her safe and protected.
