A Chehalis School District Bond Measure was on the April 26, 2011 ballot in the Chehalis school district area which is in Lewis County.
This measure was defeated because it did not reach the 60% super majority needed to pass.

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $27 million in order to build a new elementary school in the district and make other capital improvements to facilities as needed.[2]

The question on the ballot:
The Board of Directors of Chehalis School District No. 302 passed Resolution No. 10-11-009 concerning this bond proposition. This proposition authorizes the District to construct and equip a new K-3 Cascade Elementary School, make selected renovations to R.E. Bennett, make other capital improvements to other school buildings and grounds, to issue for these purposes $27,000,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within a maximum 20 years, and to levy property taxes annually, in addition to regular tax levies, to repay the bonds, as provided in Resolution No. 10-11-009.[3] |
