This measure sought to allow the school to collect additional taxes exceeding the revenue limit for a period of two years at an increasing rate in order to help pay for operational costs of the school district.[1]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
Be it resolved by the School Board of the Chequamegon School District that it shall include revenue in its budget for the 2012-2013 school year in the amount of up to $380,000 in excess of the revenue limits set forth in Section 121.91, Wis. Stats., and for the 2013-2014 school year in the amount of up to $450,000 in excess of the revenue limits set forth in Section 121.91, Wis. Stats., the specific amount of each exceedance, subjet to the maximum expressed above, to be determined in each of the two years by the School Board for use for the non-recurring purpose of sustaining operating expenses.[2] |
