Biography
Cherie Lott was born in Lindsborg, Kansas. Lott's professional experience includes working as a homemaker at The Lott Family, executive secretary to Congressman Rick Santorum (R), and executive administrator to Congressman Bob Inglis (R). She also worked at GOPAC. Lott attended Azusa Pacific University.[1]

I think I always look up to people who are thinkers and philosophers more than I look up to people with money or fame. I value someone’s mind and their ability to bring sense into the world or bring beauty or music. I feel that we spend way too much time on getting things and very little time enjoying things. I value the people around me who are seeking God’s will for their life, as that is the path to true peace and happiness.
If you read a book about my life which is the tale of a little girl who grew up very poor and very transient and built with her husband an incredibly strong family and a strong business while enduring hardship — as we all do. If you read that book then you could understand my political philosophy. I was raised a conservative Republican and watch the Republican party try to destroy Donald Trump before he even got into office. I have very little time or respect for condemnation with out investigation. I implore my fellow Americans to stand up and defend your rights in this country as it is changing around you and you cannot wait until it is too late to make a difference. Wake up, dear friends!

I do not back down when I firmly believe something is right. I do not allow others to tell me how to think. I seek truth and I do not go into situations with a preconceived idea of that truth but instead learn and make my decisions as I glean the facts. I know what right and wrong represent and I care very much that I am proud of myself at the end of every day. I am a leader, I am a fighter, and I am unafraid to piss off anyone. I don’t choose to fight first, but I am ready to fight when called. I don’t start fights, I finish them.
Make America Great Again. Keep America Great. Reduce government spending, reduce government regulation, reduce the tentacles of the federal and state governments into our affairs. We need to live in freedom and under the constitution we have the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is my core responsibility as a representative. To bring the people back to the constitutional rights they are given when born in the United States.
I would like to be known as the genuine and passionate Patriot that I am. I am terribly concerned about this incredible country. We are at a crossroads and I am awake enough to see it. I hope others will join me in looking around and realizing what we have accepted as our current reality is simply unacceptable. God is great and America is great, and all of humanity is great. Our world needs to see America come back to its roots of freedom and perseverance. The world is watching. Truth wins.
I think it would be 911. I was 30 years old and had two young children at the time. I remember the feeling at the bank later that day as I was withdrawing funds that everyone was silent and somber and looking around in a different way at their neighbor. It was almost like you didn’t know who to trust. It was a terrible terrible day.
My family was very transient and we didn’t have much money so as a teenager I helped pay the bills by working as of babysitter or a waitress. I went to college briefly but ran out of money, so I decided to go live with my sister on Capitol Hill. I ended up in Washington DC for seven years, which was both interesting and appalling at times. When my husband and I got married we built our family in Michigan and he built a very successful practice. I have been a rock and a lighthouse in the family during the turmoil of building a business and raising four children. It’s the best job I’ve ever loved.

My family did not have money and I started working at a very young age to support the family along with my siblings. I don’t regret that, because it made me into who I am, but my life has been a lot of hard work. My husband and I made sacrifices as we built our business and our family, and it was wonderful and blessed for many years, but at some point it seems you always get targeted. We’ve had a few difficult battles, but I feel stronger than ever, and my true friends have fought beside me. So again, I don’t regret any of it. I am a fighter, I am resilient, and, “I am who I am”.
They are the only legislative body that can introduce legislation, whether to add or abolish it. I plan to introduce plenty of legislation to get rid of much of the federal government. I think it is far-reaching, I think it is wasteful, and I think it is a ridiculous monster that needs to be tamed. I am the Viking ready to take on that battle.
No, in fact now that I have been trying to organize to run for Congressional office for a short time now, I find that “institutional knowledge” in politics is possibly helpful, but also the mentality of “this is how it’s done” can be both strangulating and frustrating. I always believe new ideas are refreshing and necessary, no matter the context.
Turning back to God and loving our neighbor as ourselves. We must get rid of the fat in our government, we must take care of our own — especially our veterans. I cannot emphasize enough how tragic it is that we are in such a wealthy country and we still have poverty and destitution. It is unforgivable and we must find new solutions to solve these unacceptable problems. We are better than this and we can do better than this. Nursing homes coupled with child care centers has worked in Europe and it’s a beautiful concept. We need new ideas that bring our generations and our people closer instead of bringing division.
I will be focused on making changes to improve our country and reduce the government’s reach within any committee on which I am placed .
Honestly, this is such a ridiculous uphill battle now that I’ve entered this race. The way that the current system functions two years seems so ridiculously short but I really wouldn’t make it any longer. I think the entire system needs to change because everyone tells me it’s just a constant battle to beg for money in order to run your campaign each two years. You start campaigning the day after you win the election before it. I think it’s ridiculous and a waste of time and money. There has to be a better way and I have a few ideas as to what that might be.
Our founding fathers intended for people to come from different parts of this Country to bring their expertise and knowledge to benefit our country and their fellow Americans . They intended that we come and inject our knowledge and passion in the areas we saw fit but then returned home to work again with our families in our communities. I think term limits are essential in having a healthy government. I see no point in remaining in one position in the government for an extended period of time. Go do good somewhere else.

Yes, I have many friends who own small businesses in Rochester and the surrounding area. Without exception they are struggling to either stay afloat or keep workers. Without exception the policies of the past year and a half have nearly decimated all of them. How dare the federal government and state governments allow this? What are they good for? This is a travesty.
The last one one of my friends or family told me, I suppose. I love to laugh and take every opportunity to do so, My husband is one of the funniest people I know and it’s usually the casual observational one-liners that get me — and I never can remember them. But they are my favorite jokes. :-)
Of course. Didn’t we all learn this when we were young? But I do not believe compromise means giving up on your principles. There is a way for two principled people to sit down at a table and each give just enough so that they are comfortable in their decisions but both feel there is forward momentum. We have lost the ability to do this in our country and it is sad to see. I believe many in this new incoming round of congressional candidates will be able to work together because we are just people who have no political aspirations farther than helping our country get back on track.
I am appalled at some of the things our government feels the need to spend money on. Raising revenue has been done ad nauseam. The fact that we pay the taxes we pay is borderline criminal. I have zero interest in raising any more revenue for the disgustingly over populated and overreaching federal and state governments. My goal will be to reduce the revenue and get rid of the programs that should be privately handled. Our government is not supposed to play Babysitter in every aspect of our lives. We are free to make our choices and decide where we want to invest our private money to better humanity. It never was the governments’ responsibility or business to be involved in all they are involved in. It is ridiculous.
