I care about where Nevada is heading and I am trying to make a difference. I believe in our 2nd Amendment -the right to bear arms, that our children and teachers have a right to feel safe at school and have a quality education. I believe in school choice. I do not feel the government should tell us when we can and can't go to church. Our businesses being open should not be decided by one person or party. Raising our taxes in the current economy only spells disaster. We have had the most liberal politicians in office for the last decade. Some of those same politicians just tell us what we want to hear to get our votes and donations. Once elected then they do whatever they want. We need to not elect more of the same. Nevadans need to elect politicians who really have our best interests at heart and don't just give us lip service. Elect "CHERLYN ARRINGTON FOR NEVADA STATE SENATE DISTRICT 12"
  • EDUCATION - SCHOOL CHOICE - QUALITY EDUCATION - NO COMMOM CORE - NO SBAC TESTING - TEACH U.S CONSTITUTION, NV CONSTITUTION, READING, WRITTING, ARITHMETIC, LIFE SKILLS, PROMOTE TRADE SCHOOLS....
  • MEDICAL FREEDOM - GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT TELL US WE MUST HAVE A SHOT TO WORK AND PROVIDE FOR OUR FAMILIES - OUR KIDS SHOULD NOT BE INJECTED WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR BE A REQUIREMENT TO ATTEND SCHOOL
  • STAND STRONG WITH OUR LAW ENFORCMENT AND FIRST RESPONDERS NEVER AGAINST THEM. THEY HAVE OUR BACKS WE SHOULD HAVE THEIRS. WE ARE ALL NEVADAN'S PUT ASIDE PARTY POLITICS AND GET DOWN TO MAKING NEVADA GREAT WHERE BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE WANT TO LIVE AND PROSPER

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

The area of public policy I am passionate about is education. The reason for education is that in order to be a prosperous state our citizens must be educated. What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
A good political leader is someone with good communication and inter-personal skills, who works with a wide range of personalities, beliefs systems and opinions regardless of their political party or own opinion to achieve the greatest good for those they represent. A leader should serve as an example to others of integrity and loyalty. A person with a strong character, a conscience, charima and good morale values. and one who can resist temptations in the political arena. Someone who is willing to work for the public's vote and truly listen to their needs and represent them 110% and be able to have the courage to make a stand and say what needs and should be said rather than what they think the public wants to hear. A good representative for the people is someone who is willing to make difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions for the greater good of the people. A political leader will have a style of leadership that focuses on building alliances with people so a common goal may be achieved. A good political leader is someone who takes responsibility for their own actions and is held accountable by those actions.[4]

I have shown many times to those that I have worked with and for that I take responsibility for my actions and hold myself accountable to those actions. The core responsibility of an elected official is to be the peoples voice and not push your own agenda.[4]
