Cheryl Aleman
Cheryl J. Alemán was a Civil Division judge of the Seventeenth Circuit of Florida.[1][2] Aleman passed away in December 2010.[3]
Judicial misconduct
In 2008 Aleman was reprimanded by the Florida Supreme Court for unacceptable courtroom behavior; the court's reprimand affirmed the assertions of the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission made at the end of 2007, which found Alemán's "undisputed conduct" during a death-penalty case had been 'arrogant, discourteous, and impatient,' as well as '[in]adequate, improper, unacceptable, and unreasonable.'"[4][5]
