Cheryl Austin
Cheryl Austin is a judge on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. She was elected in 2011 and his term expires in 2022.
2011 election
Austin won the Democratic party primary on May 17. She received 41.5 percent in the Democratic primary.[1] She was elected to one of two open seats in the general election on November 8, winning 25.9 percent of the vote.[2]

Education
Austin earned her undergraduate degree from the Northwestern University School of Speech and her J.D. from Capital University Law School.[4]
Professional career
While pursuing her undergraduate degree Austin was admitted into the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps Program. She served seven years of active duty, attaining the rank of Navy Lieutenant. Following her discharge she served as a public school administrator and entered the Navy Reserve in 1988, retiring as a Navy Captain in 2004. In 1991, Austin was appointed Human Resources Director for the Ohio Secretary of State. After her admission to the bar she worked as a staff attorney for the Ohio Supreme Court. She entered private practice for two years before becoming the assistant district attorney for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.[4]
