Cheryl Glenn
Cheryl Glenn is a former Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 45 from 2007 to 2019. Glenn resigned on December 18, 2019.[1]
Biography
Glenn's professional experience includes working as the Maryland Political Director/Lobbyist for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters, Field Representative/Lobbyist for the Baltimore Teachers Union, President of the City Union of Baltimore, and Personnel Officer in the Baltimore City Public School System.

2014
Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Cory V. McCray and incumbents Talmadge Branch and Cheryl D. Glenn defeated Marques Dent, Kevin W. Parson, Harry Spikes, Robert Stokes, Sr. and Aaron Keith Wilkes in the Democratic primary, while Rick Saffery and Larry O. Wardlow, Jr. were unopposed in the Republican primary. McCray, Branch and Glenn defeated Saffery, Wardlow and Ronald Owens-Bey (L) for three seats in the general election.[2][3][4]
2010
Glenn successfully won re-election in the general election on November 2, 2010, taking the second of three seats.[5]
2006
On November 7, 2006, Cheryl Glenn ran for District 45 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the first of three seats, beating Hattie Harrison, Talmadge Branch, and Ronald Owens-Bey.[6]

Noteworthy events
Glenn charged with bribery and fraud
On December 23, 2019, bribery and wire fraud charges against Glenn were released after their initial filing in July 2019. The Washington Post reported that U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur said Glenn accepted money in exchange for legislative actions including, "voting for a bill last year that increased the number of state medical cannabis licenses, introducing legislation to ease the experience requirement to be medical director of an opioid treatment clinic, and introducing legislation to create a new liquor license in her East Baltimore district."[8][9]
On January 22, 2020, Glenn appeared in federal court and pleaded guilty to the bribery charges.[10] On March 9, businessman Lance Lucas pleaded guilty to making 11 bribe payments to Glenn from May 2018 to June 2019, totaling $42,500.[11]
