Cheryl Nechamen was an at-large member of the Schenectady City Board of Education in New York. She ran unopposed and won re-election in a general election on May 20, 2014. She was first elected to the board on May 17, 2011.
Elections
2014
Cheryl Nechamen, newcomer Tanya Hull and write-in candidate Dharam Hitlall ran unopposed and won the three at-large seats in the general election on May 20, 2014.
Fellow incumbent Ron Lindsay did not file for re-election, and no other candidates filed for the third seat vacated by former board member Ed Kosiur in February 2014. The write-in candidate who received the most votes won the third seat. If no write-in candidate had received votes, the school board would have decided whether to leave the seat vacant, appoint a new member or hold a special election.[1]
