General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 45.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Jill Landes.

Education
Potebnya received a B.A. in political science from the University of Washington in 1985, and a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.[2]
Career
Potebnya began working as a deputy prosecutor and coroner in Jefferson County in 2005. Prior to attending law school, she worked at Boeing. Potebnya and her husband also own a real estate investing company.[2]
