Cheryl Rios Kingfisher is a judge for the Third Judicial District in Kansas. She was appointed to the court in 2008.[1] She was retained in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[2]

2014

Kingfisher was retained to District 3 with 65.0 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2] 

2010

Kingfisher was retained to the district court with 64.61 percent of the vote.[3][4]

Education

Kingfisher received her bachelor's degree in nursing from St. Mary of the Plains College, and her J.D. from Washburn University of Topeka.[5]

Career

Prior to her elevation to the bench, Kingfisher worked as an associate judge for the Topeka Municipal Court. She has also worked as an attorney for the Cherokee Nation, an adjunct professor at Washburn University, and as an assistant district attorney in Shawnee County.[1]
