A Chester Township Road Tax Levy Renewal question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Meigs County, which is in Ohio, where it was approved.
This question authorized the Township of Chester to renew a property tax levy of 1 mills ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for five years in order to fund road maintenance and construction.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Chester Township for the purpose of Road Maintenance at a rate not exceeding 1.0 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to ten cents ($0.10) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[2] | ” |
