What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

Making sure our Metro employees - teachers, police, firefighters - are fully staffed and paid a wage that allows them to live in the city we ask them to serve. Traffic - we have to make better driver/rider options available if we're going to properly address the increasing traffic problem. Budget - we need a more responsible approach that prioritizes the people who live here and our neighborhoods.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

We need to address the affordable housing problem so that professional adults don't have to have roommates in order to own a home.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Character, community service and a willingness to serve with a "long-view" and not focus our decisions based on what's most politically advantageous for ourselves.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Trustworthy, responsive and detail oriented.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Service to the District and Metropolitan Nashville.

What legacy would you like to leave?

That I served my District and my City well.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The moon landing. I was a few days short of my 5th birthday, and it's all everyone was talking about.
