The November 4, 2014, general election in Floyd County Schools featured two seats up for election. Since all the candidates running for the board were Republican, the results were decided in the primary election on May 20, 2014. In the District 1 race, candidate Chip Hood defeated incumbent Terry Williamson and fellow challenger Tony Potts. Newcomer Tony Daniel overcame fellow challenger Rodney Dillard for the District 2 seat. Hood and Daniel both ran unopposed in the general election.
