Biography
Chris Byrd was born in Longview, Washington. He earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Oregon University in 2004 and a graduate degree from the Virginia Tech in 2012. Byrd has experience working in school administration, groundskeeping, millwork, and as a social studies teacher. He has been affiliated with the Friends of Fox Creek.[1]

|We have numerous challenges in front of us, which require us to work together. Partisan gridlock between Democrats and Republicans has not worked in the past and it is not the answer moving forward. Continuing on this path will not solve our problems. Something must change. As your independent representative I will do everything in my power to unite both sides of the political aisle. I will support bipartisan legislation that benefits the people of Southwest Washington.
Like you, this is my home. We may not agree on every issue, but I genuinely care about the future of both our country and our local communities. As your elected representative I will be of service to you. Our future depends on us to find a way forward together.
