|Graduated from Skiatook, Oklahoma Bachelor’s in Financial Management from Northeastern State University.
Upon graduation I carried three jobs while getting married and trying to grow my business. Since that time, my wife and I have moved into the District where we raise our three boys all under the age of 12.
I'm a Certified Financial Planner and have my own practice and insurance agency. I've developed a comprehensive understanding of the economy at both broad and local levels. My duties involve identifying opportunities and risks across various sectors, allowing me to forecast their potential impacts on local matters. This practice has shaped a unique perspective that I consider critical for serving the city council.
I also compete in Triathlons. I'm an Ironman having swam 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles and running a marathon all in one day. I've competed in the Tulsa Ironman in 2023, Florida Ironman, and other local competitions in Oklahoma and Texas.- Our city must be accountable at every level of government. City issues like road projects and infrastructure improvements must be done on time and in/under budget. It's become all to common place for projects to be 20-30% over budget and months delayed. This is not the accountability Tulsans deserve.
- The crime rate is unacceptable. Our officers and first responders are working tirelessly against increasing crime. We must ensure a safe environment for everyone, and we have the budget for more personnel. We should use that budget to encourage more applicants and offer bonuses to those looking to transfer from other locations.
- Tulsa has a homeless crisis. It's understandable because I believe we are one of the most generous communities. However, our city must prioritize the care of women and children first. Next, we need to focus on those with addictions and mental health issues. Each group needs different types of care. We have numerous outreaches, charitable organizations, churches, and volunteers who dedicate their time, resources, and talents to assist the homeless and unsheltered. The city should partner with them, allowing them to lead the way because of their vast knowledge.
