Born in Edmond, OK

Graduated from Skiatook, Oklahoma Bachelor’s in Financial Management from Northeastern State University.

Upon graduation I carried three jobs while getting married and trying to grow my business. Since that time, my wife and I have moved into the District where we raise our three boys all under the age of 12.

I'm a Certified Financial Planner and have my own practice and insurance agency. I've developed a comprehensive understanding of the economy at both broad and local levels. My duties involve identifying opportunities and risks across various sectors, allowing me to forecast their potential impacts on local matters. This practice has shaped a unique perspective that I consider critical for serving the city council.

I also compete in Triathlons. I'm an Ironman having swam 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles and running a marathon all in one day. I've competed in the Tulsa Ironman in 2023, Florida Ironman, and other local competitions in Oklahoma and Texas.
  • Our city must be accountable at every level of government. City issues like road projects and infrastructure improvements must be done on time and in/under budget. It's become all to common place for projects to be 20-30% over budget and months delayed. This is not the accountability Tulsans deserve.
  • The crime rate is unacceptable. Our officers and first responders are working tirelessly against increasing crime. We must ensure a safe environment for everyone, and we have the budget for more personnel. We should use that budget to encourage more applicants and offer bonuses to those looking to transfer from other locations.
  • Tulsa has a homeless crisis. It's understandable because I believe we are one of the most generous communities. However, our city must prioritize the care of women and children first. Next, we need to focus on those with addictions and mental health issues. Each group needs different types of care. We have numerous outreaches, charitable organizations, churches, and volunteers who dedicate their time, resources, and talents to assist the homeless and unsheltered. The city should partner with them, allowing them to lead the way because of their vast knowledge.
I'm passionate about economic policies that stimulate growth, increase business investment, and encourage new companies to move to Tulsa. If we can foster confidence in this city for future growth, it will stimulate more jobs, better pay, and the highest rate of return for our most valuable resource—our people.
City councils are uniquely positioned to address local issues, represent community interests, and implement policies tailored to their specific areas. This proximity allows council members to have a deeper understanding of local issues. They can address concerns more quickly and have the power to enact ordinances and local laws that govern public safety, zoning, and more.
Honesty and integrity are two principles that form the foundation of trust between the officials and their constituents. Honesty involves being truthful, while integrity encompasses a broader commitment to moral standards. These help guide officials to make decisions in the public's best interest, even under political pressure.
Commitment. This is demonstrated by the official's willingness to listen, learn, and adapt. It's crucial to seek out differing perspectives and engage in dialogue to make informed decisions. By demonstrating dedication to public service, elected officials inspire confidence and respect. These traits are essential for building trust, fostering community engagement, and ensuring effective and ethical governance.
The Oklahoma City bombing was perhaps the first major historical event in my lifetime. I was a young kid, and I remember seeing the footage on TV. It was a devastating event that shocked the nation and me to the core. Having been born in Edmond, my father had colleagues who worked in the building adjacent to ground zero. The stories he shared and the news from that event will forever solidify my love and passion for our great state.
I've found that those who understand their purpose and work to attain their goals often exceed expectations. Public service duties can be learned, but desire cannot.
Open communication on policy that impacts its city. Being an active listener and engage in meaningful dialogue, and they need to be problem solvers who are able to analyze the data to make informed decisions.
Transparency and accountability are essential for keeping governments responsible to the people they represent. This includes open and clear communication about the decision-making processes, policies, and actions of the official. This means providing access to information, being upfront about challenges and setbacks, and ensuring that the public is well-informed.
