Chris Dudley earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University. Dudley's career experience includes working as a businessman and former NBA Player. He has been affiliated with the NBA Players Association Executive Committee, the NBA Union Negotiating Committee, and Diabetomics.[1]

The Chris Dudley Foundation

Chris Dudley was diagnosed with diabetes at 16. In 1994 he founded the Chris Dudley foundation for people with diabetes and their friends and family. The foundation describes its mission is to be "a resource and a clearinghouse for kids, teens, young adults & adults with diabetes and the people who share their lives."[2]

NBA Career

Dudley played in the NBA for sixteen years, from 1987 to 2003, for several teams, including the Portland Trail Blazers. His career began when drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the fourth round in 1987. He was traded to the Nets in 1990. He signed with the Trail Blazers as a free agent in 1993, prompting a contract dispute which was later resolved. That same season Dudley was traded to the Knicks. He finished his career playing once more with the Portland Trail Blazers. Dudley was the winner of the NBA's 1995-96 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award.[3]
