An effort to recall Mayor Chris Erickson is underway in Auburn, Nebraska.

Recall supporters
The recall effort is organized by Amanda Powell. Many Signals Communications reported that recall petitions list as grounds for recalling Erickson that he "abuses his office, is ineffective as a leader, and appointed someone with a conflict of interest who profits from the city."[1]
Recall opponents
Erickson said the following in response to the recall effort.[2]
“ |
The City Council unanimously approved the nominated councilperson without any concerns. All their payment claims have been unanimously approved. It is hard to have all council members without a conflict of interest in a city of Auburn's size. I have followed the Open Meetings Act, Robert's Rules and relevant ordinances when receiving public comments at meetings.[3] |
