Campaign themes

2016

The following issues were listed on Fedalei's campaign website. For a full list of campaign themes, click here.

  • Criminal Justice Reform: Mass incarceration is our single biggest domestic policy disaster since segregation, both fiscally and ethically. We have an obligation to confront these issues squarely by punishing crime fairly and giving people the tools they need to stay out once released.
  • Economy and Jobs: The business community has told us repeatedly: invest in infrastructure and education, and watch your economy prosper. We can create long term prosperity by empowering our businesses, not by taking shortcuts.
  • National Security: The most fundamental duty of our government is to keep us safe. We can accomplish our security goals, but we have to be smart and vigilant, keeping up with the world as threats change and develop.
  • Veterans' Care: I should never have to refer to veterans as an ‘underserved community,’ and yet that’s exactly what they are. Our veterans go above and beyond in service to their country, the least we can do is to return the favor.
