Chris Gillett
Chris Gillett was a judicial candidate for Texas District 129 in 2012.
Education
Gillett received his undergraduate degree from Austin College and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law.[1]
Career
Gillett is a private practice attorney. He works for Ashby, LLP. He has previously worked for Henke Law Firm and Giessel Barker & Lyman. He is also an author and adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston Law Center.[1]
2012 election
Gillett ran for election to the 129th District Court. He faced Michael Landrum in the July 31, 2012 primary runoff to determine who would face Democratic incumbent Michael Gomez in the general election.[2] Republican candidates Edward Casanova and Frank Powell Pierce were defeated in the May 31, 2012 primary. Landrum defeated Gillett in the runoff and faced incumbent Michael Gomez in the general election, where he was defeated.[3][4]
