Elections
2012
Kennedy ran for Texas Railroad Commission in 2012. He was unopposed for the Green Party nomination and was defeated by Christi Craddick (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]
Beryl Burgess, Warren Chisum, Christi Craddick, Joe Cotten, Roland Sledge and Becky Berger sought the Republican nomination. Since no candidate won more than 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote getters - Chisum and Craddick - faced off in a runoff election on July 31,[2] which Craddick won.
Vivekananda Wall ran as a Libertarian.
Incumbent Buddy Garcia (R) was appointed to serve in the seat until the general election and did not run for election.[3]
