Chris Nelms
Chris Nelms was an at-large member of the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education. He was first elected in 2008. Nelms won another term in the general election on November 3, 2015.
Nelms died in September 2017.[1] On October 18, 2017, the Cincinnati Board of Education chose Lannis Timmons to complete his term, which ended in December 2019.[2]
Biography
Nelms was a prevention educator at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.[3] He died in September 2017.[1]

Three of the seven seats on the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. All members represent the district at-large.
Incumbents Chris Nelms and Eve Bolton won re-election to their seats. Carolyn Jones won the third seat up for election. Incumbent Alexander Kuhns originally filed to run in the race but withdrew after accepting a new job.[4][5][6]

Funding
Nelms ran as part of the Re-elect Chris Nelms and Eve Bolton Committee, which reported $8,155.00 in contributions and $2,655.49 in expenditures to the Hamilton County Board of Elections in the election.[7]
Endorsements
Nelms received official endorsements from the Cincinnati Democratic Party and the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers.[8]
