I am proud to have the support of the DFL and endorsements from multiple unions. My family and I moved here because we love Winter. We found our forever home right by Theodore Wirth Park, and my 2 sons are thriving in our local schools. Golden Valley is a welcoming and wonderful place to live.

As long as I can remember, I have been driven by a desire to help others and my community – I am an Eagle Scout, coach both youth skiing and basketball, and volunteer regularly with The Loppet. I feel called to run for city council to support our local community. I will ensure that the city continues to provide essential services – clean water, professional first responders, road maintenance, and our incredible neighborhood parks. Professionally, I am a software engineer who enjoys seeking out challenging problems and working to find efficient solutions. Collaboration is essential to my work, and I understand the importance of working across different technical silos. On the Council, I will be a force for positive change, ensuring everyone's voice is heard and that we continue to work collaboratively to make our city safer and stronger. As a member of the city council, I will be a voice for the people. I look forward to working towards a more affordable, accessible, and connected city.

  • Golden Valley’s minimal infrastructure forces us to travel primarily by car. Walking or biking can be a scary experience. Increased walkability allows residents to shop local, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with their neighbors.
  • We need to grow our population base to support our city’s infrastructure, but we have to do it right. Increasing housing density along major corridors like Hwy 55, we’ll create housing opportunities to support community wellness, and invigorate the local economy.
  • Golden Valley is home to Fortune 500 and small businesses alike. Rezoning key pockets of our city makes way for new corner shops & boutiques, restaurants & gathering spaces, ensuring every neighborhood has a just down the street kind of charm.
Finding solutions to problems or needs within the community is my focus - Specifically the infrastructure which connects us to our neighbors. Between our sidewalks, streets, and trails, I dive deep into the needs and how to best provide a solution. One example is I have studied research papers on streets designed to slow traffic naturally. I enjoy finding innovative ideas to layout sidewalks and trails so residents can safely run, bike, and play. Lastly, I have a deep understanding of what it will take to improve our digital connection with fiber optic internet being delivered to all residents, which I think is critical for future development and enjoyment.
It is most important for elected officials to be solution focused and open minded to new ideas. The city council must be prepared to adapt rapidly and ensure it is focusing on not just providing the needs of the city as it stands but is preparing for the future. Being open-minded, drawing from past experience, and learning what is needed to solve each problem is key.
To best find optimal solutions I am driven to follow the facts. Decisions should be based on solid research and quantitative options. By learning and presenting data driven approaches I feel confident I can move Golden Valley forward.
In high school I started working at a small local business, Marmot Mountain Works. I worked there for nearly a decade. My experience in a service industry developed valuable skills like how to help people, how to communicate with a variety of needs and backgrounds, and how to accomplish a lot with minimal budget. Through my time working I met thousands of people and learned how to communicate effectively so I truly understood what each customer wanted and how to find the right equipment for them.
