Sacramento politicians act like it is business as usual. They have

mismanaged our economy, destroyed lives, banned singing in places of worship, and released over 20,000 felons into our neighborhoods. As a Supervising Peace Officer, Chris knows how important it is to fight to keep ALL neighborhoods safe. Otherwise, working people trying to make ends meet, elderly and our most vulnerable will be left unprotected and defenseless. That is why Chris Raahauge will NEVER de-fund our police! He knows that working families are already under attack from state taxes on gas, water and electricity, but now proposed miles-driven taxes and texting taxes too - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Without a change we will continue to have the highest energy prices, rolling black-outs which endangers the elderly. JFK would not feel welcome in this group of far-left radicals running Ca. Chris is an independent leader who serves our community and helps the less fortunate, in a smarter way. Chris is an Eastvale resident, Corona High graduate and serves on the Board of Directors for the Norco-based "Shelter for Change" a non-profit which helps feed thousands of local families and helps those with addiction - insured or not.

Chris will deliver compassion without corruption, safe
neighborhoods and will speak up when our political "leaders" mismanage our economy, destroy jobs and destroy lives. It is time for an independent leader who will keep our neighborhoods safe!
  • We need to continue to support the good police officers we have here in Riverside County, never dismantle or defund our police departments.
  • I am committed to keep discrimination illegal in Ca. The state shall not discriminate against, or grant preferential treatment to, any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin. Prop 16 would take these protections away.
  • Homelessness in California has increased year after year with the only real change being an increase in the amount of people experiencing homelessness. It's time to elect someone who will actually DO something in Sacramento about the issues facing our community.
Chris has worked with "at risk" youth, making a positive influence on the lives of many - teaching not only life skills, but teaching youth to make better choices, so they can turn their lives around and stay out of the justice system. Chris has a passion for helping those who want the help.

That passion extends to Raahauge's work serving on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Shelter for Change Foundation (SFC). SFC has helped feed thousands of Riverside County families last year - handing out thousands of pounds of food to those in need. SFC is a family operated non-profit organization that assists alcoholics & addicts into substance abuse treatment to get people the help they need. SFC believes that anyone asking and needing help with addiction deserves it, insured or uninsured. With dedication and hard work SFC is creating a movement to save as many lives as possible. This model should be replicated throughout CA to help thousands get off the streets, at a low cost for taxpayers.

AB5 was passed this last year with the support of my opponent and has had disastrous consequences. This job killing bill has caused thousands of people to be laid off from their jobs during an economic crisis. It is another example of if your Sacramento special interest had enough money then your industry may have been saved. I will fight to repeal ALL of AB 5, not just carve out exemptions for special interest groups.
