I am running for office to give back to my community through public service as a citizen legislator. I want to the 60th district and the state of Wisconsin to be the best place to raise a family, work, own a business, and retire. I love my community and Wisconsin and want it to be a great place to live for generations to come. I want to champion the ideals of a strong local community, limited government, fiscal conservativism, and government accountability. I have had a lifetime of community service. I have successfully demonstrated experienced conservative leadership in my eight years as a City of Cedarburg Alderman and 9 years on the Cedarburg School Board serving as President of both bodies. The Cedarburg School district has the lowest cost per pupil in Ozaukee County and has achieved the ranking as the #1 High School in the State of Wisconsin. I am an avid outdoorsman and treasure our local and state natural resources. I am a lifelong Wisconsin resident and have been married to my wife Lisa for 19 years while raising our four children. I want to use my experience and integrity to serve the people of the 60th district.
a. We need to start now working on the next biannual budget, look for ways to do more with less and make continuous budget adjustments. For example, this can be achieved by reducing workforce costs by capping employment, freeze state hiring, and reducing the number of government positions. Private industry is forced to make these reductions and so should our state. I have experience in local government using strategies like these to keep the tax rate flat during difficult economic times.

b. Create jobs and keep the talent from leaving Wisconsin
i. Educational partnerships with businesses to determine what skills they want out of high school and college graduates. We must embrace vocational and professional tracks by introducing these essential skills early in middle school.
ii. Stop the inflation of college and vocational schools. Education is unaffordable and graduates are burdened with years of debt.
iii. Employers in the 60th district have told me that they cannot find and hire enough good people. The jobs exist. We just need provide the exposure and teach the skills to fill them.
c. Transportation budget-start from zero and work up. Need to prioritize projects that are a must for our state. From there rank projects that make sense for our residents and taxpayers. We must separate needs from wants.

d. Helping farmers-working to get fair market prices for our farmers. The current administration has a program where farmers are getting between $1,000 and $3,500 i
