Texas businessman and entrepreneur. A constitutional conservative and native Texan. Chris Russell is the owner of a security and fire alarm company and President of one of the oldest Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) in Texas. Russell's career background include Private Security and Life Safety Systems, Law enforcement, Private Investigations, and Internet communication technologies.
  • Russell has represented citizens in city halls all across Texas and in the Legislature. His peers selected him to help draft and negotiate responsible ordinances and state code that is fair to industries and consumers for over twenty years.
  • As a Constitutional Conservative that has never before run for public office, my worldview is genuine. I am a diplomat and straightforward.
  • It’s time to bring family, friends, and neighbors back together. We can do this with open, honest, and dignified communication that doesn’t have to be divisive in the process.
* Term Limits for all Legislatures.
  • Parent[s] right to full autonomy in education, health, safety, and general well-being of their children. Limiting social responsibility to protecting children from abuse.
  • Tax reform. Government spending is out of control. Cities, Counties, State, and Federal government all share a common objective; to be responsible custodians in tax.
  • The Right of Texans to keep and bear arms.
  • Freedom of Speech in all media.
A good legislator must be Consistent, honest, and compassionate. But most of all, all elected officials need to know when to shut up and listen.
A person elected to office must be open, honest, and engage with dignified communication that isn't divisive in working through the issues.
I believe in term-limits for all elected officials. It is harmful to everyone, when politicians legislate based on positions of large financial donors and political based positioning. All legislators must remaining devoted to their elected office and doing the work they were elected to do. Experience is good thing, being a career politician is bad.
Compromise is one part of reaching an agreeable policy. There are other elements. Elements such as justifiable reasoning with discernable balance and outcome. Too often we are seeing one party [Left or Right] force an agenda when they hold the majority in the legislative bodies. Party positions are not voted on by voters, they are compiled views by a much smaller group of individuals. I'm not saying that Party positions are a bad thing; only that compromise should always be part of policymaking. Otherwise we have division and a large group (50%) unwilling to accept the policy, code, rule, or law.
