Chris is a husband of nearly thirty years to his wife (a small-business owner), a father to three sons in their twenties, and a career public-school educator at both the high school and college levels. Raised on a farm in Southeastern Wyoming, he learned work ethic, grit, welding, mechanic’s skills, and stewardship early in life. As a first-generation college graduate, Chris holds two bachelor’s degrees and one master’s degree. A resident of Menifee, he is a life-long, common-sense democrat. His past service (outside California) includes serving as an appointee to a city planning commission, as a governor’s citizen appointee to a state education committee, as a county political party chair, and as a candidate for state-level office. Since spring of 2021, Chris has served his local union as an elected executive board member and as a member of the bargaining team. Acutely aware of the issues in education, the constant rise in cost of living, and the need to diversify economic development, Chris is ready to listen to ALL, roll up his sleeves, and get down to building a better tomorrow together. Common sense, respect and dignity for everyone, civil conversation, and real solutions to real problems are who he is.
  • Husband, father, and career public-school educator who has the experience to drive positive change in education—and the grit and work ethic from an agricultural background to get things done.
  • Working-class Californian intimately familiar with the affordability and housing crises. Those on fixed incomes, like disabled veterans and seniors, are especially in need of innovative policy around housing, healthcare, and cost of living.
  • Everyday, level-headed, and authentic person willing to listen to ALL people so he can better understand how to improve their circumstances. Prior political experience, regard for civil conversation, and respect for those serving in our armed services and for veterans--who afford us the privilege of voting.
