Hey there! I’m Chris Wood, a results-driven citizen that wants to help Fort Worth become the great city it is meant to be. I believe a mayor should welcome every voice and work towards solutions that are beneficial for all. I want to help citizens become all that they can be and live happy, rewarding lives.
  • My first key message is that citizens should be practicing self-regulation: (1) safety first, (2) self-care, and (3) look out for each other and hold each other accountable.
  • My second key message is that the city council meetings and public comment sessions should be combined to ensure that citizen voices are consistently heard. This includes providing guidance on how to effectively communicate at council meetings.
  • My third key message is that crime prevention efforts should be enhanced, including expansion of mental health resources.
I am personally passionate about citizen self-regulation so that there is less reliance on police, the justice system and the city council for resolving issues. I also feel strongly that crime prevention needs to be improved, which includes more effective mental health resources. I also believe that citizens need to be more involved in city government, which entails combining public comment and council meetings and providing speaking guidance.
I have been through a lot of difficult situations and learned how to overcome daunting obstacles.
