I am a wife, mother, and first-time candidate for our Georgia General Assembly. I have a bachelor's degree in business management and have over 2 decades experience as a project manager. I am a volunteer and activist and am running to represent my district with a progressive voice in our Assembly.

I believe in Georgia and our ability to lead the way to a better future for our children, families, and all Georgians. I believe in building bridges and know we can work together to enact policies that put the people of our community and Georgia first - including quality education opportunities and a healthy planet for our children, ensuring Georgians have easy access to vote and fair elections, and expanding Medicaid.

  • I am committed to policies that Georgians first - before politics. Putting Georgians first means expanding Medicaid, protecting our reproductive justice, and addressing our maternal mortality rate.
  • When we work to make a better world for our children, we all benefit. Our children are our future leaders and we must to set them up for success by ensuring quality educational opportunities for all and that we leave them a clean, healthy planet.
  • I will lead with humanity and love to create a better, more inclusive, and prosperous Georgia - I believe that will guide us to achieve justice, equality, and dignity for all.
Healthcare. A little over 8 years ago I was diagnosed with early-stage Melanoma in my cheek. I was incredibly lucky that I had employer-provided healthcare and was able to have the multiple procedures needed to remove the Melanoma and reconstruct my cheek. I did not have to choose between my health or debt like so many Georgians... Georgians who may not have the opportunity to see a dermatologist and who would remain undiagnosed until the condition had progressed.

Georgia can do better than Medicaid waivers which cover only a fraction of Georgians at a higher cost than fully expanding Medicaid. We must expand Medicaid to ensure all Georgians have access to the preventative care they need.
My role models are women who have stood up - or sat down - to lead the way and made a difference in our world. Women like Stacey Abrams, Malala Yousafzai, Emma Gonzalez, Rosa Parks, Jane Goodall, and Princess Diana, to name just a few.
Honesty - We must be honest and open with our constituents and with each other. I do not believe that our politicians should operate behind closed doors and must be fully transparent and honest with our constituents.

Humility - I am not running for office for me, but for the people I will represent. The needs of the people in my community and Georgia are what is important to me. Additionally, I believe a bit of humility will help us achieve more for them - it opens the door to listening, discussion, and compromise.
I am not a politician - I am running for the people of my district and all Georgians.

I have spent decades as a project manager bringing people and teams together, a skill that will help me work across the aisle to get things done.

I am a mother who has balanced work, family, travel hockey schedule, and more. I have learned how to balance multiple needs and accomplish multiple goals at the same time. Being a mother also gives me the insight to look at legislation and craft solutions through the lens of our children - being able to see how what we are doing today will affect our children and our future.
I was 9 years old and standing outside with my class in Florida watching the Challenger launch when it exploded.
My first job was working at a fast food restaurant during high school and the beginning of college. I loved working the drive through window and talking to customers and worked my way up through management during my 4 years with the company.
With past tax cuts and the current recession, we are currently experiencing budget cuts across our programs with extreme cuts to our education, healthcare, and social services. Our challenge will be looking for new sources of income for our state budget so we can continue to invest in those programs, maintain a balanced budget, and better plan for our future.
We are all working together for the people of Georgia. Though we may have our differences, I believe it is important to come together and work across the aisle to craft the policies and solutions that put Georgians and our children first. I believe that by working together we can achieve more for Georgians.
2020 is a census year and redistricting will impact the next decade of elections in Georgia. It is critical our districts are drawn through a non-partisan, impartial, and transparent redistricting process to put an end to gerrymandering.

Georgian voters deserve to be fairly represented and should get to choose the elected officials that represent them, not the other way around.
