The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 5, 2014. Christie Bryant Kuhns was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while A. Brian McIntosh was unopposed in the Republican primary. Bryant Kuhns defeated McIntosh in the general election.[6]
