Gelineau was defeated by incumbent Fred Upton.[1] Gelineau ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Michigan's 6th District. Gelineau ran as a Libertarian candidate. She faced incumbent Fred Upton (R), Mike O'Brien (D), and Jason Gatties (I) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2]
