2014
On her campaign website, Fugazi highlighted the following issues:[6]
Public safety
- Excerpt: "Our Police Department is overworked and understaffed. We passed Measure A on the promise that we would add 120 police officers. We must be diligent in making sure that the promise is fulfilled. Our quality of life in Stockton depends upon it."
Budget
- Excerpt: "There has been a lot criticism about the millions of dollars spent on lavish concerts, restaurants, and marinas that we couldn’t afford and which led us into bankruptcy. However, we need to recognize that our institutions failed us and we need to look at how we prevent this from happening again. If you elect me as your council member, I will strengthen our institutions with transparency and checks and balances. We must do better."
Jobs
- Excerpt: "I will work day and night to diversify our economy and bring more long-term, high-paying jobs to our city. If we work closely with our local schools and nonprofits to graduate qualified and dependable workers we can bring more “new technology” jobs to our area. That is how we will break the cycle of poverty and unemployment."
