Biography

Christina Mascarenas was born in Pueblo, Colorado. Mascarenas earned a bachelor's degree from the Colorado State University Pueblo and graduate degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Her career experience includes working as a program coordinator and advisor in higher education.[1]

Christina Mascarenas is a 5th-generation Coloradan, born and raised in Pueblo. She has dedicated her career to public service. As a public affairs specialist, she has advocated for the needs of our great Veterans at the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and for our ranchers and farmers at the Dept. of Agriculture. She was also an advocate for the disadvantaged, low-income, and first-generation students she worked with at CSU-Pueblo in the grant-funded Upward Bound TRiO program. Christina knows the challenges government imposes on small businesses, having owned a photography studio that served families in southern Colorado. Her unique experience will bring a new grassroots, community-focused voice from Pueblo County to the State Capitol.
  • Christina supports our law enforcement and will advocate and legislate for the tools LEO’s need to protect Pueblo County.
  • Christina is committed to safety by decreasing crime and homelessness.
  • Some of Christina's goals are to foster economic development and job creation by reversing anti-business bills and unnecessary regulations.
Education policies; Economic policies; Immigration policies; and Criminal justice policies to name a few.
Christina is a servant leader who is compassionate and wants to make Pueblo County safe again.
Like many Puebloans, Christina's first job after graduating high school was at Watts call center.
A bill to support Colorado law enforcement by giving them the tools they need.
