Christine Fields Strader is a district court judge for the 17A Judicial District, which presides over Rockingham County in North Carolina. She was elected to the court on November 4, 2014, to a four-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2018.[1][2]

Judicial performance evaluation

In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[3]

Education

Fields Strader received her undergraduate degree from Guilford College. She received her J.D. degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law.[4]

Career

Fields Strader worked for Judge Stanley L. Allen while she was in law school. After graduating, she started her own private law practice in Reidsville, North Carolina, focusing on family and juvenile law.[4][5]
