Christine Johnson, Illinois legislator
Christine Johnson is a former Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, representing District 35 from February 14, 2011 to January 2013. In 2011, she replaced retiring senator J. Bradley Burzynski.[1] She will serve out the remainder of his term. Johnson had previously served as Treasurer of DeKalb County since 1994.[2]
Johnson earned her B.A. from Northern Illinois University.

Johnson ran for re-election to District 35 of the Senate in the 2012. Johnson was defeated by incumbent Dave Syverson in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012.[4][5][6]

Johnson received a score of 87.50 out of 100 in 2012 for a grade of A- according to the IOP’s grading scale. Her score was tied for the 13th highest among all 59 members of the Illinois State Senate included in the Vote Card.[9]
