Christine O'Connor
Christine O'Connor was an at-large representative on the Howard County Board of Education in Maryland. She advanced from a primary election on June 24, 2014, to face seven other candidates for four seats in the general election on November 4, 2014. Christine O'Connor won the general election on November 4, 2014. She resigned in May 2017.[1]
Biography
O'Connor worked as a sixth-grade teacher at Jersey City Public Schools in New Jersey before moving to Maryland. At the time of her election to the school board, she worked as a substitute teacher at district schools. O'Connor also served as the president of the Howard High School PTSA. She has three children who attend district schools.[2]

The June 24, 2014, primary ballot included incumbents Sandra H. French and Cynthia L. Vaillancourt as well as challengers Bess I. Altwerger, Corey Andrews, Tom Baek, Zaneb K. Beams, Olga Butler, Allen Dyer, Maureen Evans Arthurs, Dan Furman, Leslie Kornreich, Christine O'Connor and Mike Smith. French, Vaillancourt, Altwerger, Beams, Dyer, Furman, O'Connor and Smith faced off in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Funding
O'Connor reported no contributions but $82.90 expenditures to the Maryland State Board of Elections, leaving her campaign with $82.90 in debt as of June 17, 2014.[3]
