I am 46 years old, and I live in Reidsville, NC. I am currently serving in my third term as a district court judge for Rockingham and Caswell County (District 17A).

It has been an honor to serve the people of Rockingham and Caswell Counties, and I look forward to bringing my conservative judicial philosophy to the appellate court. Prior to being elected to the district court bench, I served as an assistant district attorney for eight years in Rockingham County, NC. I joined the United States Air Force in 2013 and I currently serve as a Captain in the JAG core reserves. I attend Osborne Baptist Church in Eden, NC. I am a member of the Eden Kiwanis. I serve as a board member for the Betsy Jeff-Penn 4H Center, the Monroeton Volunteer Fire Department, the National Wild Turkey Federation Sauratown Chapter, and the United Way of Rockingham County. I was born and raised in North Carolina. I attended high school in Asheboro, NC as a Blue Comet. After graduation I attended High Point University and received a BS in Business Administration. I attended law school at Regent University whose motto is Christian leadership to change the world.

I consider it an honor to serve my county and my country – I have been blessed to have been in a position of service for seventeen years. I look forward to serving all the citizens of North Carolina as a Court of Appeals judge.
  • I will uphold the Constitution.
  • I will not legislate from the bench.
  • I will follow the law as written.
My parents who worked hard to provide for me and my sister, took us to church, and taught us to work hard and respect others.
To be fair and respectful to all. To be transparent and accountable. To make good on promises given during their campaign.
I am honest and fair. I treat everyone with respect on and off the bench. I follow the law, uphold and protect the Constitution, and I do not legislate from the bench.
To uphold and defend the Constitution. To follow the law as written and not legislate from the bench.
Kindness, honesty, fairness, and leaving whatever position that I have the honor of serving in better than when I found it.
I was a bag boy at Lowe's Foods. I worked there throughout high school.
The Bible because I am a Christian. I love Jesus and I am thankful for the life He has given me.
It's a great day to be alive by Travis Tritt.
I was the first in my family to go to college. I graduated with a lot of school debt. I worked hard and it is now paid off.
I will support the constitution, not legislate from the bench, and follow the law as written. I will be fair and respectful to all on and off the bench.
A judge should consider the evidence presented and the arguments of each side and apply the law as written.
With my training and experience I feel that I am prepared to serve the citizens of North Carolina as a fair and respectful Court of Appeals Judge who will uphold the Constitution, follow the law as written, and who will not legislate from the bench.
I believe my experience as an Assistant District Attorney for 8 years, as a District Court Judge for the last 8+ years, and as a JAG officer in the United States Air Force reserves for the last 10+ years has prepared me for the NC Court of Appeals.
To stay in its lane and let each branch of government do what they were designed to do.
It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Rockingham and Caswell Counties as a District Court Judge. If God blesses me with the opportunity to serve the citizens of North Carolina as a Court of Appeals Judge I will be content. However, if I am called to serve at a higher court, I remain willing and ready to serve.
