The son of a Southern Baptist Preacher that spent the last 17 years working in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, El Salvador, and here in Tampa, ensuring our military's information technology and cybersecurity are always ready. I am a Kennedy Democrat representing the moderates of Tampa Bay who still believe in asking what we can do for our country (and fellow Americans), not what our country can do for us. I believe that the Progressive Agenda has become a racist, sexist, and classist parody of liberal values.
  • Political tribalism is destroying our nation. The inability and even willingness of Representatives of both major parties to cooperate has been self-evident over the past years. I can represent us better.
  • As a Kennedy Democrat, I feel we need to step away from the extremist Progressives and radicals of the Democrat Party who, in the end, are hurting our liberal causes more than helping.
  • Our current Representative has performed minimal work and ignored issues that threaten our lives and livelihood. Other than USF and key medical organizations, your issues, problems, and concerns are not her problem. As your Representative, I will work with you rather than ignore you.
Environmentalism: For too long, our Party's more radical Progressives have distracted us with the Climate Change narrative. Although climate change impacts our world, I will not sacrifice the health of our environment on the alter carbon neutrality. The issue of the environment has long been ignored in our district and across the country.

Immigration: The crisis on the Southern Border can be solved if Representatives are willing to lay aside their partisan politics and work to solve it.

Cybersecurity: While hackers were playing with dangerous chemicals in the Oldsmar Water Treatment Facility, our Representative tried to protect kids from Instagram. What do you want your Rep to do for you? Be a parent to your children, or protect the water they drink? I have no desire to be your child’s parent, but I do have the desire to preserve their health and well-being.

Military: Tampa is a military town. MacDill AFB represents a sizeable economic influence in our region. The lack of support and acknowledgment by Kathy Castor for our military was the final straw, the deciding factor, on why I decided to run against her. When 13 of our nation’s sons and daughter died in a botched withdrawal of Afghanistan, the only thing she could do was retweet President Biden. She literally did the social media equivalent of regifting someone else’s sympathy card. Is this the person you want representing the defense of your nation and your rights?
My father has been an inspiration to me. It is from him that I learned the value of ethics and morals. That sometimes, we need to look past the labels we put on each other to the person inside. Growing up, I witnessed him counseling many different people experiencing the best and worst of life. While we won’t be perfect in this life, we can at least bring some amount of hope to those around us. In running and representing Tampa Bay, I believe I can live those word.
In April 1986, I was nine years old, and we were all called into the library to watch live the lift-off of the Spaceshuttle Challenger. The event was considered a big deal, not just because it represented the U.S.’s space dominance but also as part of the Teacher in Space Project. A Project meant to inspire students and spur interest in STEM fields. Sadly, the Challenger blew apart shortly after launch killing all seven crew members aboard, including Payload Specialist and Teacher Christa McAuliffe.

Other historical events have come and gone, but that is the first that I remember being of national importance. I will say that today, I watch every SpaceX launch and rocket recovery and feel the same hope we felt then when I see those rockets go up and land. Space will represent a new frontier for science and humanity that should continue to be explored and cultivated despite tragedies like the Challenger.
At the young age of 13, my first job was putting advertisements into newspapers and rolling them up to be delivered to customers. I was so proud that I was able to prepare over 1,000 newspapers per hour. It was a fun job and the first job that allowed me to get a paycheck and open an actual bank account. Also, the first time that I learned about this horrible thing called taxes.

Mainly being an introvert at the time, I would spend much of my earnings in a used book store in the main town. Growing up poor, that job and those books were a source of pride for me throughout the years. It helped nurture my love of reading and awareness of the world around me.
The Tampa Bay Times has called our current Representative “the heir to a political dynasty.” The implication is that our present Representative is somehow owed or obligated to be our Representative through nothing more than bloodlines rather than qualifications. The role of a Representative is not to be an expert in government or politics, but someone who can listen to their people, understand their concerns and address them. Our present Representative has extensive experience in government and politics yet fails to hear the people's voices. Even worse, choose to ignore it.
