Christopher Cross
Christopher Cross was a judge for the Eighteenth Judicial District Court of Colorado. He was appointed to this position in January of 2009.[1] Cross retired from the court effective February 8, 2016.[1]
Education
Cross received his undergraduate degree from Denison University in 1974 and his law degree from the University of Denver Law School in 1979.[1]
Career
Cross began his career in 1979 as a Denver deputy district attorney. In 1983, he left this position and became private practice lawyer. In August of 1997, he was appointed a county court judge. He then joined the district court in 2009.[1]

Cross was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 72.28 percent of the vote.[2]
Judicial performance evaluation
The Eighteenth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[3]
Judge Cross was recommended for retention by an unanimous vote. [4]
