The election in Vigo featured four seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Tammy S. Pearson defeated challenger Christopher L. Switzer for the District 2 seat, and District 4 incumbent Tomas W. Thomas lost to newcomer David A. Lotter. Rosemarie Scott lost to board member Alpa Patel for her District 5 seat in a rematch of their 2006 and 2010 races. Patrick J. Sheehan ran unopposed and won re-election to his District 1 seat.

On September 11, 2014, incumbent Tomas W. Thomas announced that he would no longer campaign for the District 4 seat, conceding the race to his challenger. This decision came after the withdrawal deadline, however, and therefore Thomas still appeared on the ballot.[1]
