Christopher Melly was a judge of the Clallam County Superior Court in Washington from 2014 to 2018. He was appointed by Governor Jay Inslee for a term effective January 2, 2014 and was elected to the office later that year.[1][2][3] [4] Melly retired on December 31, 2018.[5]

Washington held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Candidates for district and superior court seats had to file for election by May 20, 2016. Primary elections were held on August 2, 2016, for six seats where more than two candidates filed for election. Incumbent Christopher Melly ran unopposed in the Clallam County Superior Court nonpartisan general election for Position 3.[6]

2014

Melly ran for re-election to the Clallam County Superior Court.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [3] 

2012

Melly ran for a seat on the Clallam County Superior Court in 2012. He advanced from the primary election on August 7th, winning 23.86 percent of the vote, but was defeated by Erik S. Rohrer in the general election on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

Education

Melly received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University and his J.D. from the Rutgers University. He also attended the Washington Judicial College and the National College of District Attorneys.[9]

Career

Prior to his judicial appointment in 2014, Melly worked as a deputy prosecutor, chief deputy prosecutor, court commissioner and hearing examiner.[9]
