Christopher N. Patterson is the chief judge on the Fourteenth Circuit Court. He was elected in May 2010 and was officially sworn into office in January of 2011. Patterson won re-election without opposition in 2016.[1][2] He was selected as chief judge in June 2019.[3]

Education

Patterson received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 1982 and his J.D. from Nova University in 1985.[4]

Career

Early in his career, Patterson worked as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and as a special assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. He then worked as a private practice lawyer from 1991 until he was elected to the circuit court in 2010. He is also board certified by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization.[1][4]
