I am a conservative republican patriot who will listen to my constituents when voting on bills that will affect their everyday lives.
  • I am running to represent the views of the people of my district and vote accordingly.
  • As an elected official I will work for the people of my district. Not for myself and my own agenda.
  • Before a government makes decisions for the people they should listen to what the people want.
My personal views on policy will be left at home when I go to Jefferson city to represent my district. I will be elected to represent my district and their views on public policy. With that said I will not bring my work home to my family dinner table for discussion. I believe a separation is key to being able to represent the people of my district and do the job as it was intended.
Elected officials work for the people. Some forget this. It becomes personal. There is no room for personal motives. I plan to keep it simple. Find out how the people of my district feel about the issues and vote accordingly. It takes a certain type of person to be able to take their own personal views and emotions out of a scenario and interject those of the people who voted them into office. I believe this is a characteristic must for anyone who is an elected official.
Work with the people for the people to get their views and opinions heard at the state legislature. Stand as the sole representative of the district in which they represent. Listen to the people or their district and vote accordingly.
I was in the foster care system as a youngster. As a foster child and ward of the state I was not given the things most kids get growing up. If I wanted something that had a monetary value I had to come up with a way to earn money to be able to buy what I wanted. At 9 years old I wanted a bicycle. I walked down the road to the old junkyard that was in Desoto off of highway 110 and ask the owner if I could do something to earn money so I could buy a bicycle. The owner gave me an opportunity. I scrubbed parts he took off of vehicles with a wire brush till they were clean and spray painted the items. Over a couple of weeks time I earned the 100 dollars I needed to buy the bicycle I was eyeing. I consider that my first job. Even as a young man I worked for what I wanted. If elected I will continue to work for the people of my district until I am asked not to by a vote.
The Bible. There is no other book that I know of that can be interpreted in so many different ways and that interests me. BTW I have not read it in it's entirety.
Our state will have many challenges over the next decade. Many of which have not even come to light. As these challenges present themselves it will be up to the state legislature to come up with a plan to deal with these challenges. Working with others to come up with a plan and execute is key to overcoming these obstacles and challenges we will face.
No. I believe a regular Joe is who we need more of in the state legislature. Someone without prior political knowledge. A representative of the people should be just that. A representative of the people. I do not believe a career politician can or will look out for the best interest of the people in which they represent. Nor do I believe they will listen to the people they represent when making decisions.
If you are an American when you walk into the bathroom and an American when you come out of the bathroom what are you while you are in the bathroom? Europeein
We have districts for a reason and an elected individual from each district for a reason. That reason is clear. Each district is going to have a difference of opinion on many subjects that come across the legislatures table. If everyone agreed on every subject we would not need districts. The system we have in place was designed to have differences of opinion and to put those differences to a vote amongst others from other areas in our state. In the end after a vote is how a compromise is made.
