Chris Shays
Chris Shays was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Connecticut. He previously represented Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District from 1987 to 2009.

Shays was considered a potential Republican candidate for Governor of Connecticut in 2014, but did ultimately did not file for the election.[1]
2012
Shays ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing Connecticut. Shays was defeated in the Republican primary.[2]
