Christopher Shepard
Christopher Shepard was a 2014 Republican candidate for District 67 of the Florida House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for District 65 of the Florida House of Representatives in 2012.
Shepard is a St. Petersburg College student studying accounting.[1] He works as a Sam's Club customer service representative. Shepard is also a veteran, having served previously in the Iraq War.[1]
Elections
2014
Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Steve Sarnoff defeated Thomas D. Ryan and Shawna Vercher in the Democratic primary, while Christopher Latvala defeated Christopher Shepard in the Republican primary. Latvala defeated Sarnoff in the general election.[2][3]

2012
Shepard ran in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 67. Shepard was defeated by incumbent Ed Hooper in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012.[4]
Shepard decided to run for the District 67 seat after being misinformed that incumbent Ed Hooper would be termed out by term limits. After learning of the misinformation, he decided to stay in the race.[1]
