Christopher Whitten
Christopher Whitten is a judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He assumed office in 2006. His current term ends on January 1, 2029.
Whitten ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.
Whitten was appointed by Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) in October 2006.[1]
Biography
Christopher Whitten earned a B.S. in business marketing from the University of Arizona in 1988 and a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1991. He began his legal career as a clerk to Arizona Court of Appeals Judge John L. Claborne (1991–1993) and a deputy county attorney for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office (1993–1996). Whitten then worked as a private practice attorney until his appointment to the superior court at the firms of Holloway, Odegard & Sweeney (1996–1999) and Whitten Berry P.L.L.C.(1999–2006).[2]
